Post partum bleeding

My baby is 10 days old. About Three days ago I stopped bleeding, and the next day I had a random gush with a clot. Then stopped bleeding again! Today I keep getting random gushes of red blood :-/ is this normal??

Are you breastfeeding? I only ask as when you breastfeed your uterus contracts as you do it so that can cause gushes or bleeding to restart once it has stopped. I continued to bleed when I breastfed and then spot afterwards for a good couple of weeks. If it's big clots or lots of blood I would give your doctor a call.

YeP, I'm exclusively breast feeding. I don't remember this with my girl (the only other one k breastfed). Was just worrying I guess :-/

I think its normal to bleed on and off, especially if you are active (just seeing your ticker I'm guessing you're not sat on the sofa for hours on end?!). I know when I went out for walks it would be worse again

I basically bled lightly, brownish blood for five weeks after birth. It stopped for a couple days, and then after that I randomly got bad period like cramps, that I think were just mild contractions, and started bleeding red blood. After about ten hours I passed an about thumb sized clot when I went to the bathroom. I haven't bled since, and I'm breastfeeding so no period yet. I would guess it is just your uterus shrinking and clearing things out "in there", but that's just my guess.
