Hi i am 26 weeks with a little girl and have POTS syndrome.

Ive had POTS for a couple of years but it was very manageable and mild. This pregnancy has been horrific and some days im unable to stand up at all. My HR jumos from around 95 sitting to 150 standing.

I feel like utter crap. Dizzy and exhausted all the time. Breathless.. im just so over it..

If u had a significant worsening of symptoms in pregnancy, did you see an improvement post natal? What abput breastfeeding? Did it help your symptoms at all? Make them worse?

Im so scared as i have 4yo twins aswel and im struggling already and baby isnt even here yet.. i dont think i will manage if my POTS doesnt improve..

Thanks

Hi twin mum. I developed POTS during my pregnancy with my son. After giving birth my resting heart rate improved and I stopped having a constant run of bad days. Some days it doesn't affect me but some days it's pretty bad. I'm noticing patterns as I go. For example, when I'm very sleep deprived I hit 180 getting dressed. But if I am well rested, hydrated and eaten lots of salt my heart rate settles fast after it's initial jump. I'm still new at managing it all. On the bright side, it didn't affect my son at all. He was oblivious to it all. Also had a labour with just g&a x
