Hello ladies!

Just wondering if anyone else is suffering with Pre eclampsia? I'd really love to have people to chat with who are in the same boat and hear others' experiences.

I knew I was developing pre e by week 32. I was told I most likely had pregnancy induced hypertension at 34+5. It took me throwing a fit for the doctor to send me to l&d where I was finally given a 24 hr urine because of my swelling and head aches. My bp was 160/96. I was finally officially diagnosed at 35+4 when my 24 hr came back positive. My next appointment is Monday and I will have the full work up again.

Im currently on bed rest and bored out of my mind. Anybody else out there? How are you passing the time?

Omg that disgraceful that it took you to fit before they done anything I'm starting to think I may have it but I'm just getting fobbed off by hospital I have never suffered high blood pressure ever but 5 weeks ago it was really high and had protein in my urine I was sent to mau and they done bloods and just sent me home they haven't monitored me at all and now I'm suffering with head aches blurred vision swelling sickness dizziness and general unwell feeling I rang last night and they told me it was probably a bug and to see my GP next week x
Pleased the finally diagnosed you and are keeping a close eye on you and best rest is boring but its best for you and baby I wouldn't be able to be on bed rest even if they said I had to be cause I have my other kids to look after pregnancy is so scary at times x

Agreed, it is very scary. Please if you are having those symptoms do not let the hospital not take them seriously. It's far better to be checked out and it just be a bug then the alternative. If you continue to feel ill definitely get checked. Hope you feel better!

I'm going to see my GP tomorrow or ring my midwife I'm already really high risk so they should of really just checked me over clearly I'm not that important to them and neither is my baby there is no care in hospitals these days I know they are over worked but if it was my job id rather be safe than sorry xx

Good! I hope everything checks out alright for you. One of the ob's at the drs office I go to told me not to go in, despite my bp being 170/105! She told me to go sleep it off. I'm disgusted with the kind of care, or lack of, that's out there. Hopefully all goes well for you and if you do have pe they pay better attention to you. I have my appointment tomorrow as well. Guess we'll see how it goes.

Good luck at yours and the care is questionable these days in something that should be a caring profession xx
