pregnancy after miscarriage

i had a miscarriage early last year at 11+2. it devastated me and took me up until a couple of months ago to move on. i then found out last week i was pregnant again im 6+1 now and to be honest im petrified of miscarrying again.
im trying not to stress as my miscarriage last year was caused by hbp, well i think so as i had hbp at time.


was just looking for people to talk to who are in similar situation who would maybe want to chat and if anyone who went on to have healthy pregnancies after a miscarriage? thankyou

Hi, I am sorry to hear about your loss

Congratulations on your current pregnancy, although I understand that you are probably feeling so apprehensive about your pregnancy that I'm not sure if you feel comfortable with people congratulating you? I am 10 weeks pregnant after 2 early mcs (both at 5 weeks) and I don't feel comfortable at all being congratulated (by the few people I have told, best friend, parents and boss).

I completely empathise with how you feel, as I am terrified of it happening again too and sometimes the fear is overwhelming. I lost both mine very early, so I cannot imagine what it must be like for you.

I know it isn't easy but all we can do is think positive as best we can, every pregnancy is different after all, and keeping busy is always helpful too.

Are you going to get any early scans? I'd speak to your GP if you haven't already and ask about this, it might help put your mind at ease a little.

Hi, i had a 14 week loss in july 2010, and a 6 week loss in december that year too. Ii understand how you are feeling, we're waiting to tell people untill as long as possible. I have a healthy toddler from before then so to miscarry afterwards was such a shock. To be honest though, i feel very different, lots of symptoms, no bleeding (' touch wood'), and very bloated.
I just think i have to take it one day at a time, listen to my body and what will be will be.

Hi, I had a mc at 11+4 weeks late June in 2011. I had extreme sickness, sore boobs etc up until 11 weeks and then it just stopped. Got my BFP on my due date of my mc (January 15th). I've only told two people, waiting as long as possible to tell everybody else. I haven't had a healthy pregnancy yet so scared on whether I can actually carry full term.

I just found out yesterday that I am pregnant. I miscarried last August @ 7weeks. Trying not to stress is probably the hardest part! If you haven't had an early scan I would see if you can get one. That is one thing that is keeping me calm is knowing that in 3 or 4 weeks I will get to see my baby! (FX'd)

sorry for late reply! phone wasnt allowing me to log in so had to wait to get to a computer!
i was referred to the EPAU (early pregnancy assesment unit) 2 weeks ago now but heard nothing from them so far

from what ive been told by people ive asked they should give me a early scan but its driving me mad not having heard from them yet, i know two weeks isnt long but im just in a weird place at the minute.

with my last pregnancy i connected with bubba immediately but with this one i feel nothing, i block it all out (apart from the symptoms of pregnancy, cant help those!) & try to forget & i feel awful for it but i cant help it. think i just dont dare get attached until i find out if baby is ok!

just to let you all know my doctor just referred me to the normal antenatal clinic after saying he was referring me to EPAU.

wasnt happy to say the least so i went ahead and booked a private scan!

saw jellys heartbeat beating strong at 7+6 xx

if you notice my signature below, I had an mc and two years trying afterwards, but did get pregnant with a 'sticky' and LO is currently screaming down the house for his dinner! So, it is possible!
