Hi

Anyone had any experience. I had a bfp on 19th Nov. Started bleeding a week or so later and was at EPAU on 3rd Dec. Had an internal scan which showed an empty uterus with think lining. My hgc was 228. They said I'd had a complete mc. Anyway as the following week went on i had an increase in pg symptoms, so went back and urine sample was still positive. My hgc had risen (not sure what to), they rang me last night and told me it looked like an ectopic pg as hgc was rising but very slowly. So today I have had methotrexate today. They do not think embyp was in fallopian tubes and basically said they didn't no but knew the pg was not viable.

Has anyone experienced similar. I feel fine, no pain or side effects of the drug so am lucky in that respect and don't think emotionally it will hit me until I know that physically i am ok and no longer at risk of becoming very ill.

Just wondered if anyone could share their stories and where they are at now. I've been told to wait 100 days before ttc, which seems a long time but is also an opportunity to deal with this loss and get my body sorted I suppose.

Thanks for reading and for replying if you can.

xx

Sorry, I don't have an answer but just wanted to say good luck.

I was told this morning I have the same - pregnancy of unknown location after a bleed on Saturday followed by brown spotting and uncomfortable cramping & straining feelings in my abdomen since then.

Had an internal scan:
Small black spot in uterus - could be gestational sac, could be blood clot, they couldn't tell.
Lots of fluid within and surrounding the uterus which wasn't "normal".
"Something" in one of the fallopian tubes which may be gas bubbles, bowel material, basically another unknown.

They took bloods and told me to phone tonight. More bloods on Wednesday to check HCG levels, and then again on Fri or next Tue depending on what Wed's levels show.

They've basically told me they always look at the worst case scenario, even though it could turn out ok. I have a feeling it's ectopic and it'll need to be removed.

I had the same when I was 5 weeks in my first pregnancy. They couldn't find anything anywhere so decided to do a laparoscopy, which seems drastic. They checked my tubes and womb and there was nothing. My hcg kept doubling as it should and two weeks later they found a normal pregnancy.

I hope you are ok. It is better to be safe then lose a tube xx

Hi
I am in a similar situation at the moment .....at 6 1/2 weeks i started slightly bleeding and having stomach cramps, I was sent for a scan at 7 weeks which showed an empty sac measuring 5 weeks. I had my hcg levels checked twice that week they went up 15% then 10%, on new years eve i was called in urgently as they suspected an ectopic (horrendous as I had my children with me).....after examination they decided to wait for another scan which they did last tuesday. nothing had changed and they saw a shadow on my tubes so i had a lapraoscopy that day, there was no ectopic and I am currently at home waiting for another scan and more blood tests this wedsnesday at the moment they think its a pregnancy of unknown location.
I just want this all to end, i should be happily 9 weeks pregnant now
I think they are going to give me the injection this week which i really dont want...its such a rollercoaster and im trying to be strong for my 2 children and partner.

Sorry to hear that - I went through the same and it is really hard. I choose to let nature take it's course after the lappy and thankfully the pregnancy continued. However there was progression in my scans.

I hope you heel up well and what will be will hurry up and give you some peace.
