I know it's not a complication as such. Has anyone been able to keep the sneezing, itchy eyes to a minimum? Is there anything I can do?

Some days I just want to scratch my eye balls out and the sneezing!! I sneeze sometimes up to 50 times a day and it's got so bad, I wee a little each time (I don't think my bladder can take it any more).

It started from the off but has got increasingly worse and at 19 weeks I feel awful!

i had this with DS for 9 months... and it only got worse.
infact we we just talking about it in the first tri.

Oh i feel you! Its awfull! I keep rinsing my eyes with saline solution which seems to help a bit. My eyes itch and feel stingy from all the scratching. My nose feels the same. I itches so mush i could scratch it off my face! I sneeze from morning till night and i even sneeze in my sleep.:growlmad: I seem to have headaches that go along with this too,do you have these aswell??:hugs:

I've had headaches but I've not tied them together with the sneezing! It doesn't seem too bad these last couple of days but for some reason it always gets worse at the weekends?!

Well it's hit an all time high this last week - got through two boxes of tissues already. It's a misery! On top of the constant sneezing my bladder is so weak now that I'm wearing huge tena lady pads all day every day to keep my modesty. Even sneezing with my legs firmly locked together doesn't help.

Can I just ask what the symptoms of this are?? I've had a constant blocked nose for WEEKS,I think from day 1!!! One minute it's blocked the next it's running, it even wakes me up at night, and I cannot get rid of it!!

I'm sneezing too although I don't think as much as you ladies and getting headaches about once a week, I never linked it with being pregnant but now I've read this......

Hey i have rhinitus and not just while i was pregnant, its sooooo annoying! I really feel your frustration here hun its extremely annoying! The doctor gave me a spray for it and that helps a little, its been about a year now since he first diagnosed it but yeah it was worse while i was pregnant.Have you asked the doc if he has any nasal sprays suitable during pregnancy?

Sounds about right! Here's some more info: https://www.pregnancy-info.net/rhinitis.html

I saw the midwife yesterday and asked if there was anything I could take to help the pregnancy rhinitis. She told me to ask for a prescription for Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray which I've got - can't say yet whether it works as I have a cold!!!

So if you're suffering, go see your GP and mention this spray. MW said it's perfectly OK to use in pregnancy. Advice online says a small amount may pass into breastmilk - I suspect therefore, that's more of an issue for mothers rather than mummies to be.

Hope this helps someone else x
