Hey ladies.... Anyone have any thoughts on tsh levels? My tsh was 3.5 maybe a year ago, then down to 3.23 on its own but my fertility doc put me on synthroid to bring it down. After about 6 weeks it's now around 2.2. Wondering if anyone has gotten preggo after lowering their tsh levels a bit? Or maybe you know someone like this?? If so, how long did it take once your tsh came down closer to two or below?

Thanks!!

Hi baby

I can't give you examples of people being pg after lowering tsh however I am hypothyroid myself and my tsh is around 3 - I have been TTC for over 2 years now.

I read an article by Marilyn Glenville who stated that in order to conceive tsh should be under 1. A normal healthy person has tsh around 0.5. I asked my GP about this & she refused to increase my thyroxine. My fertility specialist isn't bothered at all by my tsh so I don't know what to believe...

Sorry that's no help but let me know how you get on xx

Hmm, we sound similar! My tsh has lowered quickly. Down to low 2's in under 2 months. We weren't able to try the first month because I had a vaccination and was told to not try as it could be harmful to a baby. Boosts my excitement because I had all that time for the synthroid to work. Right at ovulation now so here's to hoping there is something to this whole low tsh thing!
