Pregnant after m/c .. couldn't hear heartbeat at 15 week m/w app

Hi all ,
I went for my midwife appointment wednesday just gone and the midwife couldn't find a heartbeat and its got me slightly worried as I miscarried last year(m/c at 7-8weeks) , and I don't want to lose another one. Mw booked me in for next wednesday (21st) when I'm 16 weeks but I'm still worried brainless because I haven't even started to show so its just making me think the worse :s

Sorry you are having to worry about this and so sorry for your loss. I hope that net Wednesday you will hear that heartbeat clear as anything and you can relax and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy. Do you have other symptoms?

Hi thanks for replying and thanks I managed to pull through from the m/c eventually .. I really do hope so :/ erm only 'symptoms' is past week I've had more cramping during the day (only mild) people just say its your uterus stretching but I'm not 100% sure to be honest never really had morning sickness (only sick twice) and my boobs haven't been that sore so idk I'm just going by more cramps a day and lack of any sort of 'bump' I'm not skinny skinny I'm a 12 but well proportioned if that makes sense? I haven't bled either soo .. Wednesday can't come quick enough

I had a lot of cramping early on, and panicked that I was losing this one too because everything I read said "mild cramping was ok but anything else should be a cause or concern. My cramping was not mild! It hurt a lot, but I had never had a pregnancy last further than 6 weeks before, so I guess there was a lot of stretching to do. If there is no bleeding that's a really, really good sign.
I had a belly from pretty early, but it went away in the mornings! It was totally all bloat and not baby. I know lots of women who don't show until much later.

Thank you I hope everything turns out okay. I'll soon find out ohh wow mild cramps I can handle but anything worse would of had me worried out my mind. I suppose I should take the mild cramping as a good sign + no bleeding as a good sign too although its hard to stay positive when your mind thinks the worse. I'm always bloated in the morning till I go a wee and it dyes down ,its strange but I'm sure I'll get there eventually shall keep you updated as to how my m/w app goes next week

Just remember, sometimes the baby is in such an awkward place that they can't find the H/B, thoughts are with you hunny.

Just letting you all know midwife appoinment went well I didn't have my 'origional' mw as she was ill but the one I did have was soo nice she found heartbeat *happy now* she kept laughing at the baby because he/she kept kicking every time she tried to keep in line with the baby to hear the HB heheee

Awe thank you its such a relief it can't be explained , my bf don't understand the 'emotional' side of never knowing how your baby is .. Typical bloke really lol how's your little one? Do you know the gender yet?

Our little one is kicking up a storm now. We are having a boy. I just knew it was a boy from the moment we conceived. i never even really thought about a girl. I would have loed a girl, and if you had asked me before I got pregnant which i would have preferred I probably would have said girl, but I swear from so early just knowing it was a boy, I just got excited about him and never thought much about a girl after that. I balled at my scan with relief when she confirmed it was a boy.

Now we just have to come up with a name. I know we still have a while, but not that long really. And giving someone a name is a huge responsibility! ha ha

Do you have a hunch about your little one? Boy or girl? Do you have a preference?

Awww that's well sweet sometimes you literally just know what its going to be despite what people/family members think its going to be, awee bless you I bet it was a bit of a surprise when your sonographer said it was a boy even though you know deep down just a confirmation is just like a cherry on top of a cake

names - erm ... I can't think of any boy names or even girl names lol so what I was going to do is trowel the internet just for ideas really its easy to come up with names for a friends baby but for your own the mind goes blank Lol

I've got a gut feeling its going to be a boy everyone says its going to be a girl as they think my last pregnancy was a boy but like you I've never thought of anything towards a girl and even I'm a lover of pink (don't wear pink clothes) lol but I just can't seem to even imagine its a girl .. Strange huh? My Anomaly scans 16 april @ 10am not long and I sooooo cannot wait , I would prefer a boy even tho they wee on you LOL

Hey sweet glad you heard heartbeat and everythings going great! It's a great feeling knowing the LO inside you this time IS going to be the one your going to hold isn't it?
I panic loooads too but have faith in the LO inside you hunny

Awee thanks, It is its the best thing ever even better than birthdays, xmas's etc all put together a babys more precious I know I was really nervous when I found out (2 days before xmas,lucky!) That I wasn't going to hold this one as the otherone didn't hold but its a relief it has .. And sometimes it feels like LO having a footy match v's the umbilical cord in my belly . I have a lot more faith now knowing he's/she's ok ... Ooooo can't wait to find out for certain can you?
