Pregnant and bf-ing a 14 month old!

Please tell me there is someone else in my situation?! My daughter is 14 months old, still breastfeeding, amd just found out today I'm pregnant with #2. That explains why she's been so clingy and my nipples have been killing me! Anyone else? Will my supply be affected? Is it safe to keep nursing my daughter?

Congratulations! Many women aspire to be nursing whilst pregnant,or tandem nurse.There is no reason you need to stop,it cant hurt the baby or deprive the baby whilst it grows.However,if it starts to hurt too much or you find it too tiring,its also fine to wean your lo now.Some women find that their milk supply changes in pregnancy and their lo stops wanting to feed anyway.Good luck,and whatever you decide,your lo has benefitted from fourteen months of breastmilk and that is great!

I would love to tandem nurse! DD is attached to the breast so I don't see weaning going on anytime soon. My nipples have been killing me when she nurses though! I'll see how it goes
