Hi. I currently suffer from PCOS and have been on metformin for the past six months to treat. My periods are still a little irregular, but I was supposed to start my period on December 5th. According to my app and egg white discharge, I supposedly and hopefully ovulated November 19-24. My husband and I are very sexually active and are trying to conceive so we haven't been using birth control. Well I missed my projected period and have been having TONS of cramps, along with breast tenderness, fatigue, bloated ness, all the things that are typical pms, except for the past three days. I've started to become very nauseous, queasy, lots of reflux and burping, along with loose bowels. Then today, I started spotting brown discharge and having major dizzy spells. I've taken more pregnancy tests than I care to admit, but they're all negative. Coukd I still be pregnant? Is this just my period and crazy symptoms? Is my PCOS playing a cruel joke? Have any of you experienced this?

Hi I have PCOS too and used to be on metformin. I experienced something very similar to what you're going through a few times but I've never been pregnant. I think for me it was a mix of pcos symptoms and metformin side effects since I was only a few months in and adjusting my doses. I ended up finally getting AF (which I rarely get naturally) so just that was an achievement for me. But if you're six months in this might be a good sign for you! I would say wait a few more days and test again. If you still feel pregnant then go to the doctor for a blood test. Even if you get BFN these symptoms are telling you that SOMETHING is changing in your body, hopefully for the better :) Good luck!

Go to the doctor and get a blood test! Some people just don't test well with the home kits because the levels are too low. I think I heard that this happens a lot with women who have PCOS, too!
