did any of you get pregnant after your loss without waiting the recommended 3 months or without getting a cycle? I cant seem to find any medical reason to wait..but that's what my doc wants us to do. I don't want to wait. but it would be nice to have some input from someone who has done this. successfully or not. Please share..

thank you.

sorry for your loss x

I had a natural mc at 5+3. I didn't wait and was very lucky to get pregnant before my next period. I've read temping is inaccurate after a mc but it worked for me. I also used opk's. Some ladies ovulate shortly after the bleeding stops, some after 2 weeks, some after 6 weeks and some not til after their first period.
I ovulated on cd27. I had two surges on the opk's but it wasn't until the 2nd one that I ovulated, confirmed by temping.
Also, alot of ladies get an abundance of ewcm, this isn't necessarily a sign of ovulation after a mc tho, i had it for about 2 weeks prior to ovulating.

good luck x

ok, I completely understand the temping/charting.. so we're good there. you say you ovulated on cd27...would you have counted cd1 as the day you started bleeding with the MC? if so, I am on CD14... I'm a little concerned that OPK's wont be accurate because of hormone levels..

yes, first day of bleeding is cd1. When my bleeding stopped, i did a hpt just to make sure the pg hormone was gone. It was negative and from that day i did opk's every other day until i started seeing a faint line. The line got darker but never as dark as the contrl and eventually went white again. Then I started spotting for a couple of days. Then a few days later the opk's started to get darker again and finally as dark as control line.
You see how messed up it is, so it might be hard to determine ovulation. If you decide to use opk's, i would suggest getting the onestep IC's off ebay. I guess there is no guarantee they will work but those ones are quite inexpensive and they did finally work for me. x

in case you are interested, here is the chart for my mc cycle, hope it helps

i can't get it to show cd1 on the chart, here is a text version: https://www.fertilityfriend.com/ttc/print_module.php?action=ViewAll&chart_id=9936133

Yes I did. My doctor actually told me that there was no reason to wait, I could try again straight away if I wanted to, so I did and it worked!
I bled for 12 days from MC on 27 July, then conceived on 18 Aug (I just found that out today at my first scan!)
I've never done any sort of day counting or opk testing or anything like that, I'm a "what will be will be" kind of person, so I can't help you with any of that I'm afraid.
However, my doctor did say today that the best thing you can do is relax, not think about it and just let it happen. I know it seems easier said than done, but for me, once the bleeding stopped, the grief subsided a little and I was able to relax and let it be.
But you go with whatever is right for you, only you know what is best for your body. If you feel ready then go for it, there is no medical reason why you shouldn't.

I'm sorry for your loss and I do hope you get your sticky bean soon x

I did.

Had a MMC at 8 weeks, and passed the baby naturally at 9 weeks. I bled for 2 weeks and then ovulated a week after that (so CD 22/23ish when normally I'm a CD13/14 kind of girl)

BFP 2 weeks later.

I'm feeling very positive about this pregnancy. Lots more symptoms than last time, I am SO miserable with all day nausea and food aversions, but of course over the moon and hoping that in May I'll finally have a baby to snuggle.

ok ladies, I am on CD15 according to the first day of bleeding with my miscarriage..I took some of your advice, took pregnancy test and used an OPK yesterday, both negative. Ive been having EWCM for a few days, so I thought it was possible I could be ovulating. sure enough, positive OPK today. thing is, my husband is still a little skiddish about sex.. he wants to give it another week. i dont want to pressure him, but I also dont want to miss this chance. Im afraid if we dont try now, when my period comes, I will have a bad reaction to the blood again, and feel like I'm losing my baby all over again...
any advice in coaxing the hubby into sex?

If he's anything like my hubby then climbing on top of him and grinding a little will be all the encouragement he needs. ;) lol

nope... that wouldn't work. he's in a stage where he thinks he might mess something up or cause more bleeding. and he says he cant get the images of me in the ER losing baby out of his head. hes not 'ready'

I had a MC at 5+5, got pregnant again before my first period and MC again at 6+5, I once again got pregnant before my first period and am now 19 weeks. x x x

I guess if he's not ready then you can't force him.

Right after I miscarried I read that the quicker you get pregnant again (within 6 months) the less likely you are to have another miscarriage than if you leave it longer. I absolutely did not want to get my period, for the same reason as you and I just wanted to be pregnant again. I felt literally empty.
Once I explained all this to OH, he was like "OK, let's do it"!

I would just try and make him understand that he can't "cause" more bleeding, that comes from deep within the uterus and no man is that big! :haha:
And however traumatic it was for him, I guarantee it was worse for you and if you're ready...

Failing all that, cook him his favourite meal and get him drunk?

LOL!! :haha: thanks girls. I actually blew it last night and fell asleep at 9pm, before he even went to bed. Im pretty sure I O'ed late yesterday as i felt cramping and had the EWCM. I might try again tonight, but I think I missed my shot. I guess I'll have one cycle.. booo:(

Good luck tonight! My DH was the same... I don't think he was ready... THEN he tells me (after the fertile window) that he thinks it's better we wait til one AF... Well We had that one AF... And I got my BFP yesterday. Beyond nervous, but very very hopeful. Best of luck! Xx :hugs:

I know it's such a confusing feeling! There's the fear of losing another baby on one hand, and the STRONG desire to be pregnant again on the other. I had a loss in March, waited one cycle as the Dr recommended, and got a bfp early May. Sadly, I lost that baby too :( I decided to throw caution to the wind and didn't wait for AF to try again. I had another BFP (with no AF) June 1, and am now 19 weeks.

Whatever you decided, and whatever you do, I wish you the very best and am so sorry for your loss :hugs:

Wow thanks so much for sharing your stories with me! I want a Halloween BFP so bad!

Good luck Bubsta and Wamommy, I hope those beans stick for you!
Runnergrl, I hope you get your sticky bfp soon!
