Can someone please answer me a question, im taking pregnyl injections and am just wondering, as the tests are fading (im testing every day- can you then get a positive test as the pregnyl leaves the system?

You will only get a true postive, i.e. a test that tells you you are definietly pregnant, when all the pregnyl (HCG) has left your system. Depending on the doseage, it should be gone after about 5 - 7 days

Thanks for the reply carebear, if the tests were fading, does this mean its a bfn - or can it then turn positive with my natural hormones after the pregnyl has left my system... sorry if this sounds stupid, im just clutching at straws here.

Hun it depends how much pregnyl you took to how many days it will leave your system. I never tested for it to leave my system. But usually 10 days max it should leave your system. Then you should get BFNs for a while until a true reading.

Did u have iVF? how many days post ec are you?

Please make sure ALL of the Pregnyl is out of your system...I dont want you to go through a false positive...What is your dosage? How many CD?

Thanks for your replies, im not doing IVF, pregnyl is to help with progesterone... Ive taken 3 injections P+3,5,7 (all 5000mi) Im on CD 26. Ive been doing cheapy internet tests to see the lline fading, this morn its almost gone. Is there still hope for me, if i was preg would it still be showing a strong line? Not sure how much more i can take of the ttc

You will only get a true positive after all the pregnyl is out of your system. If you are testing to see if it is all out you should see the tests fade and get a BFN and then as implantation occurs around 10 days after o you will see if start to get postive again with your natural hormones if you are pregnant, although you could still get BFN's until AF is due and then get positive once there is enough HCG in your system to show up.
