premature contractions at 28 weeks

Just a quick question, but is your cervix meant to change much during pregnancy?? I ahd mine measured at my 20 week scan and it measured "at least 5cm. When measured early Thursday morning (almost 18 hours ago) it measured 3.7cm which they said was very good. And that only when it got to 2.5cm would they worry.

Anyone know??

It can. I learnt in my second pregnancy(I went full term with that one) that cervix length can change so easily - we once literally watched mine go from 4 down to 2 and later back up.

At your gestation, apparantly 3.5-4.0 is normal
