Prenatal Vitamins upsetting my stomach

I changed brands 2 or so months ago because I couldn't afford the expensive and (now i know BETTER) prenatal vitamins.
The first brand I was using was completely natural, do dyes, no preservatives, no lactose.
This other brand was just generic, but had everything just like the expensive one, so i thought what the heck..no money at the moment, I will buy this.

However, for the past week or so, my stomach has been in agony and upset all the time. I really watched what I ate and the one common element were the damn pills.

So, today, I am skipping them alltogether and going to the store later on to buy the good kind.

Anyone else had problems with their prenatals??

Yeah, I quit taking regular prenatals and just take Flinstones vitamins (plus Iron). They're chewable and for kids so they have stuff in them to make them taste palatable.

I take the equivalent of what my prenatal would give me... 2 per day. Not sure if they have them in the UK, but I would imagine they have an equivalent children's vitamin. Maybe ask your health care professional if you can try those. (I spoke too soon, I see you are in Canada... don't know if you have Flinstones there either though :))

The other prenatal stuff made my tummy feel blech.

We have flintstones in canada, I will definitely look into them at the drug store today.

I don't take any vitamins, for which I feel AWFUL, but all of them made me really sick and I wasn't able to keep food down even with them, so I figure eating food and not vitamins was better than eating nothing and vomiting all the time.

I have heard that the flintstones are a good alternative but you need to make sure that you are using two and then add a folic acid supplement if you are going to use them for pregnancy.

I bought the same ones I used before.
They are Jamieson Laboratories Prenatal Vitamins.
Kinda gross, but they work for me.

I only take my prenatal vitamins every now and then because they make me feel awful. Maybe just take a folic acid supplement and call it a day :)
