Just a rant really my 3.5 year olds behaviour atm is just awful hes rude back chats reduses to do anytbing bossea me around wakes the whole house up far too early so that his brothers tired at school wets himself all day even tho potty trained. Anyone else having issues with a attitude

My son has been quite cheeky since going back to nursery the past few days (although nothing extreme) i spoke to the nursery teacher asking hiw he was there and explained. She said that at this age theres usually quite a few changes as they move from being toddlers to boys. I actually think shes right as Lucas is the youngest at his nursery and he did seem very little and innocent compared to the others (until now haha)

Yup. Been there. Violet is now trying out her new 4 year old attitude. With each new age and phase comes new kinds of attitudes.

Mine was exactly the same at that age. It is a difficult age :hugs:

Yep, I could have written your post myself apart from the wetting (which he did actually do once at preschool this week)

I think it is as pp said, I know my toddler became a boy over the christmas period and the attitude and rudeness that has come with it is hard sometimes (although only really aimed at dh and myself)

So no you are not alone i think this is 3yr old behaviour :dohh:

My boy went through this twice, once at around 3.5 & once when he turned 4. Both times we incorporated a progress chart & it helped immensely.

Oh my YES!!!!!!! DD was really, honestly, good for 2!!! I thought "wahoo this is great! We sailed through that tough toddler time with no trouble!" :nope:

WRONG!! She's 3 - and slightly a nightmare, more than 50% of the time, at least 5 days a week. (She's always been super "spirited" since birth - never an easy day - but I figured two would be the worst of it....no)

I've gotten lots of sympathetic smiles though! Today, when DD was doing full body flailing, shrill screaming barrel rolls down the vegetable aisle (because I wouldn't let her peel the top leafs off a cabbage) - a fellow mom gave me a smile and said "threenager? It gets better I promise!" I wanted to hug her!

You're not alone!!!

Oh, yeah, do I!

My daughter has been stalling bedtime and also coming into our room every morning between 5-6am to sleep with us in bed. She also is VERY bossy, and she is in that stage where a rule for her is considered a rule to us. So she will repeat things we have said to discipline and also she has started a light tap on the leg and saying she is "mad" when she is disciplined at times.

Good thing is, I have figured out the stalling bedtime thing, and the last 3 nights now we have only had 1-3 outings from the room. She doesn't have to sleep at bedtime, but she has to stay in her room. She can come out to use the washroom, but that is it. I'm wondering how to deal with the early morning wakings right now, not quite sure how to proceed. She typically comes in when her dad is already awake for work in the morning. I am going to be doing time outs for "hitting" and other bad behaviour.

It's definitely a tougher age than 2 for us. I feel like 1-2 has been the easiest by far.

I totally forgot this post sorry i didnt reply wrote ot in a fit of rage. Still the same here his brothers 15 months older and ive not had this with him at all so its a massive shock to the system! Ah well this too shall pass and no offence glad ita not just me with a litrle turd lol

I nearly threw myself (or my daughter) off the bus last week. She kept pushing the buttons and calling me rude for telling her off. I pulled her on to my lap and she headbutted me so I put her in the pram (she hasn't been well so still take double pram out) she went mental! screamed, slapped me, kicked me and screamed some more. Not the first time and won't be the last. Right now it's "I told you no!" if I ask her to do something. Hopefully it passes soon!
