I have been inspired to be super pro active today; first, went to gp and was honest about how I was feeling about everything; he referred me to a councillor and was really supportive; he said 'i would expect you to find infertility hard; perfectly normal reaction'. This made me feel less of an idiot. Then I went into town to the local chineese medical centre; had a super consulatation which left me feeling like someone bothered to ask about me and family history; not just medical jargon. He checked toungue, asked about mood, pmt, periods, overall temp of body (raynoids) is a problem for me. Then I had first accupuncture session; weird but good! followed by head and back massage. Herbal tablets to take 3 x daily and oversll I'm feeling much more positive! Ill keep you posted on how the next sessions go, xxx :flower:

Fab news! Looks as though things are going in a more positive direction and moving forward. Good luck :hugs: x

Good luck to you. Its nice when you can manage to lift yourself and feel positive.

Did the needles hurt? I was thinking of having accupuncture but I am needle phobic!! (Just shows what lengths we will go to to get pregnant!) Where did they put the needles?

XXX

Good for you! Its nice to hear about a positive approach to LTTTC - I struggle with it too and I think its good to take the bull by the horns! x

Hi, didn't hurt at all, i wasn't sure what to expect but i was really relaxed after the 30 min session. He placed around 10 pins in; 2 in feet, 2 in ankles, 1 in back of head (sounds awful but I didn't even know it was there), lots in womb area. 2 in hands. These were left for 20 mins while I relaxed listening to music. After this I got a full body (intense) massage: head, shoulders, spine pressure, legs and feet. I also had a weeks supply of womb warming tablets. So far this week I have felt so relaxed and positive! Anything that makes me relax is worth £25 per session. Second session tomorrow so ill keep you posted xxx:flower::thumbup:

It's not very often that I can be positive, still have really bad days but i feel that overall I'm a lot more relaxed after going through a very dark couple of months. Kepp finding ways to treat yourself! xxx:flower:

Thanks hun. I don't need much of an excuse to treat myself! Sounds like the acupuncture went well. And £25 a session? That sounds really reasonable - I thought it would be more pricey than that.

Keep us posted! Do you have a journal? x

How did you get on today? Still feeling nice and relaxed. The needle in the back of the head sounds awful... there's nothing to stick it into  then again if it works..... I think I might look into it.

Hi girls, had another accupuncture yesterday, CD 1 so felt a little more sensitive; he said that beacuse I was getting a bit more used to it, he could apply more pressure so it would be uncomfortable for a little while. It was fine really. One thing I have noticed is that my PMT (usually awful) had completely disappeared! Could just be my state of mind but I have never felt so chilled out! Really do beleive it's helping my mental state :S something needs to! lol! I don't have a journal but really should satrt one. Pin in the head; can't feel at all; most uncomforatble one is in my right foot?!? no idea why!?! xxx
