Any ladies go through this ?

Is there anything I can do at home to speed things up? Last I was checked I was 2.5cm 60% effaced and baby's head is locked and loaded (engaged) :-)

I'm exhausted! I been walking my ball sex tried raspberry leaf tea tried crawling around on all 4s (playing w my dd) tried relaxing ha! That one didn't last very long

Sitting in a squat position, and if you're tired lying in a left lateral position, other than everything you're already doing, I don't know! Sorry!!! Good luck hope things speed up soon :)

I will try that what is the squatting position supposed to do

I think it's supposed to help the head engage more and produce more prostaglandins, which naturally increase contractions.

I always suffer with prodromal labour in the last few days before I give birth.
My labours are usually very fast.
The hospital knows this, and so as soon as prodromal labour starts going, they will take me in to antenatal once I get to 2.5cm, i am admitted.
Once I get to 3cm they then break my waters. Labour after that goes quick!
Once my waters have been popped I will go into stage 2 very quickly, stage 2 only lasted 5 minutes I had my baby boy Friday. 2nd October. No pain relief except for gas and air through the pushing and whilst delivering the placenta. The placenta took longer (12 mins) because my bladder was full.
I had to ask for a catheter to help, there was NO WAY it was coming out without one.
My best advice is, drink lots! And get a tens to use for as long as possible, managing your pain during the long hours drawing up to labour will keep you in good stead for the big day.
I had just 2hours sleep the night before I went into labour and I birthed my son fabulously. It's all about your outlook on pain, if you can focus and Chanel that pain to a happy place in your mind.... You'll be just fine xx
