Profile Pic Question?

I am not sure I know I have done it right, cause when I go to edit my profile pic it shows up that my pic is already up. But when I post messages my pic doesn't show up, is there a time period that it goes threw admins first before I actually shows up?

Go to
Control panel
Settings and options
Edit avatar
