Hi everyone. Been a long time since I posted on these forums and first time in the loss section. Me and my partner have been ttc for about 12 months now. We are very lucky as we have had a bfp every cycle. However days (sometimes hours) after the bfp I begin to bleed and suffer a chemical pregnancy. I'm not sure of the exact amount as there has been so many I have lost count ... My cycles are irregular so I'm guessing about 8/9 consecutive chemical pregnancies. The last chemical was particularly heartbreaking as the bfp lasted longer than normal (only by a few days) and I was extremely ill with morning sickness. We really thought that we had got a sticky one this time as the pregnancy hormone must have been pretty strong to make me so ill so early.
We have been to the gp several times who has dismissed me and cast doubt over wether I was even pregnant in the first place ... Which is the worst thing to suggest to me as I know my body and I know a bfp when I see one
so we returned again last week after reading up on low progesterone levels and realising that I can relate to every single symptom including the non pregnancy related ones. We asked if he would test my hormone levels. He refused. We asked if he would prescribe progesterone supplements as it couldn't hurt to try and again he refused. He has refered us to an ultra sound scan (at a previous visit months ago .. Still yet to receive an appointment date) and has now refered us to the infertility clinic. He said there is a minimum of 3 months waiting list for the clinic. He didn't seem to understand that this is another possible 3 losses for us
I am now trying to take matters in to my own hands. I have ordered some progesterone cream and from what I can understand this can only provide a very low amount of progesterone to the body so I'm not getting my hopes up too much. I have also ordered some b-5 complex supplements as I have read they are great for balancing hormone levels and I have also started taking 75mg of aspirin daily. There is a private consultant who I have been in contact with who is very happy to see us ... But it's a bit pricey. We have decided to try a cycle on these supplements and then if it still results in a loss we will find the money and go private.
Can anyone advise me if there is anything I can do myself, without prescription, to increase the progesterone and give our next pregnancy a fighting chance?
I'm so sorry for all your losses and I hope and pray we all get our rainbows very soon! Thank you for any replies in advance, we are getting desperate now![flower :flower: :flower:](/styles/default/xenforo/smilies/flower.gif)
