Does anyone have a success story with this method? I'm on 100mg of Clomid days 3-7. Other than lower abdominal cramping I don't have any other symptoms with the clomid. I want try progesterone cream for lpd, but I have no idea when to start. I read 3 days after lh surge. Any help? Thanks Ladies.

I will be doing this this cycle too!

i'll start my clomid 100mg tomorrow on cd3 and then i'll be temping and using opks.. when ovulation is confirmed on FF on 3dpo i'll start the progesterone.

Good luck!

well it depends when you ovulate after the surge. some people will ovulate a day after a positive opk some people ovulate two days after positive opk. Some people will have more than one surge so its hard to say.

Do you temp?

I don't temp. Maybe after my surge I can test again?

I would suggest temping because that will be a sure indicator that you have ovulated.

Also yes keep using opks until theyre negative.. also pay attention to ovulation pains after your have a poaitive opk..

Hey Ladies,

Im confused now, maybe you can help me....

I am on metformin and starting the clomid tomorrow on cycle day 3 to 7, 150mg.

Tell me what is the surge?

Lh surge. It happens two days before you ovulate. If you use opk it will be when you get a positive.

Thank You, I dont use the OPK's, but I guess it would hurt to try, I have been temping, and I have a chart, as I have to show my FS when I go for my scan.

Scan? If you use opks make sure you bd like crazy when you get you surge for two days.

opks would be a good indicator as to when you are going to ovulate and then charting will confirm that you did ovulate. I would suggest doing both, but that is just my opinion

its very easy. I use Fertility Friend (the link to my chart is in my signature) its free to sign up. You buy a basal body thermometer and every morning you wake up at the same time and before moving, talking or anything you take your temp really quick and then record it in the chart. You can take your temp orally or vaginally. I started orally and then my temps were all over the place so decided to do it vaginally. Its more accurate that way and if you don't wake up at the exact same time its not as big of a deal. It seems like a lot at first, but once you get the hang of it its not bad at all. It actually stresses me out more if I don't chart! lol

charting will also show usually a low temp dip and then your temps will increase by around .4 degrees and stay higher throughout your LP and Fertility Friend will give you crosshairs based on cervical mucus, opk, and temps to determine your ovulation day.

even if you try it a few times and don't like it fertility friend still lets you put in days that you bd, positive opks, symptoms, meds and keeps track of your cycle length and predicts next ovulation/period.. its an awesome site!

Yeah, I have to go in for a scan, to check if im ovulating, and if I made any eggs, and if they grew big enough.
