Progesterone good, why do I spot everyday from ovulation to period???

Doctor tested t progesterone level at day 21 in my case 23 (I have a 30 day cycle) and it came back 42 which apparently is good. However I'm spotting everyday from ovulation right up to when my period starts. I also have an awful lower right pain during ovulation that lasts a few days.
I'd be grateful if anyone had any ideas as to what could be going on.
