Progesterone levels??? Confused?

Hi ladies me and OH have been TTC for about 13 months now with no success which i dont get because the first 2 times even though they were miscarriages happened very quickly. I booked an appointment at a fertility clinic and they first of all did SA on OH and AMH blood test for me. Both they said were in the normal range which is good. I then had to gp back friday for a scan and she said everything looked fine and it looked like i was just about to ovulate which i guessed as i was having alot of EWCM. On saturday night i had ovulation pains and when i woke up they were gone and no more EWCM. So i guessed i ovulated on saturday night. I went for a progesterone test today (they said i had to go today, wednesday and friday. So i'm guessing i am 2DPO today. I have had my results from today and they are 17.8 and the doctor said it doesnt look like i've ovulated. Now i'm very confused. Can anyone help? Sorry for going on

I thought levels over 10 showed that you ovulated. I could be wrong, but that's what I've always thought.

The best time for a progesterone test is 7dpo. This gives the progesterone levels time to rise after ovulation. Not sure where you are, but in the UK, I believe anything over 30 indicates a good ovulation, which your levels could very well get to by 7dpo.

Don't quote me on it, but I think progesterone results from 2dpo are almost useless in confirming ovulation.

Maybe see if you can have another test in a few days?

Thanks for replying. The doctor said they like to see the level over 30 to show ovulation. I'm going for a blood test tomorrow and friday so i will update with those reults. X

Good luck I'm sure your progesterone levels will go up with each test you have this week

Had todays result back which was 45.2 so the doctor says i have ovulated this month. She has suggested i have a HSG to see if my tubes are blocked but then i've been pregnant twice before so what could have caused them to block since? Plus i must admit i am a bit nervous as i have heard its not a very comfortable procedure

Yeah I would think they're not if you've been pregnant twice before. Good that you ovulated though. I ad an HSG and it was very uncomfortable (tons of cramping) but manageable. Good luck
