Is anyone using progesterone? How did it make u feel? Did it cause any pains?
Any info would be appreciated, thank you xxx

I'm not anymore, but I took it orally from weeks 4-10. I don't recall having any side effects from it.

Thank you I am using suppositories so maybe it's different? X

Hi nats!
I'm on suppositories too and not really having any side effects. Are you also on Crinone? I've read many women having all kinds of side effects from it..

I used suppositories up until 12 weeks and the only side effect I had was spotting. But Dr's all say I have a sensitive cervix, but I got a few extra u/s from all the spotting. The spotting stopped about 1 week after I stopped taking them. But it saved me from having a 3rd loss!

I'm on
Cyclogest 400mg once a day
Pregnacare
Omega 3
Aspirin
Vitamin d
Thyroxine

That's my lot lol I'm not getting any side effects as such, just pains which are probably not connected to the progesterone, but I am very tired in the day, a bit crabby and emotional but all the above could just be early preg symptoms xx

I'm taking progesterone suppositories and having no side affects.

I'm on Cyclogest 400mg suppository too. I've had awful bloating, wind and constipation. I also had some cramping the first few days. I've only been taking it 8 days! The symptoms are starting to settle down now, but I've had to start eating prunes to help!!

I'm also on baby aspirin and prenatals.

I'm also exhausted and have v tender breasts, but these are my normal pregnancy symptoms , although they seem quite full on this time - may be related to progesterone?!

Piggyback questions - I'd been wondering about progesterone too. How did you get the dr. to test your progesterone (or was there another path that led to you taking it now?)? My luteal phase seems a bit short 9-12 days, i think... but when dh and I went in for consult and testing after 2nd (both very early - 5w3d) m/c the dr. didn't seem interested in that. I've been wondering if I should have insisted on getting progesterone tested now along with hCG levels, but then again my bbt is pretty high (usually 99 +/- 0.2; almost a whole degree higher than in pre-o part of cycle) so maybe that is enough reassurance that progesterone is OK? And by now (5w3d today ... fingers crossed to make it past today and tomorrow!) maybe it's too late for progesterone to help even if it is needed ... And then if you do take it does it have to be suppositories rather than the cream that is absorbed through thigh or belly skin? Earlier I remember reading about people using that but recently it seems everyone's posts mention suppositories.
Thanks for any info!

spring suppositories are supposed to be the best because they are directly absorbed by the uterus. My Dr didn't test me because I had 2 losses and a lot of the symptoms (short LP, headaches, mid cycle spotting, etc...), and as he said your body will only take what it needs, it can't hurt to take it.

Same for me - no tests but gynaecologist said it might help and won't hurt
