Hi

Wonders if anyone has any advice or thoughts?

I'll keep it short.... I prolapsed a disc last April and was referred for an MRI. This showed that I had bulging discs which were causing nerve pain. Since September I have been attending phyiso and at first I responded well but then it relapsed again. Then tried again and the same thing happened, I then went on the sick for 2 weeks to help and then I felt fine then it went back to square one again!
I take painkillers prescribed by the doctor daily and I went for physio on Monday and she recommended I get referred bak to the consultant for an injection around the nerves in my back as my back is back to square one again, I can hardly move!
This is what scares me she says it is like an epidural, it needs to be done in hospital but it should help. Anyone had any experience of this? has it helped?
I'm waiting to see the con about this but I'm scared!
At the minute I would have anything for a pain free day.

Any advice, experiences or whatever would be gratefully appreciated xxx

My OH had a prolapsed disc and doing physio actually made it worse. Because of the way it prolapsed it sat on his nerve which was causing sciatica in his leg.He had an op 3 weeks ago to have the disc removed and although his back is feeling better his sciatica seems to have got worse!

It's funny you say that as since i have stopped physio i still have the pain but it is more manageable. Thanks xx
