Protectyourbubble.com - Anybody used?

Me and OH are due upgrades. Phones will most likely be iPhone 5 and GalaxyS3. PYB have given me a quote for £11 per month for both. Just wondered if anybody had any experience of them or what other insurers to use?

We used them for wedding insurance, someone told us they were fairly well known and reputable. (i'd not heard of them before this)

Someone on here had a terrible experience with them, I can't remember all the ins and outs but I am sure it was with them

I think flower fairy had a bad time with them, but not sure, might of been something else.

I went with my bank, Halifax ultimate reward, insurance is free but has a 150 excess.

Yep and it broke again, think it took her a while to get it sorted too, not worth it if you ask me. You can add phones to a lot of house insurance for a tiny amount. x

Yep me!! Would NOT reccommend them. My Iphone was damaged and they repaired it quickly and I was very pleased, however within a week it turned off and wouldnt work . I sent off to Apple and was advised it had been fit with FAKE parts. I contacted PYB and they offered to try and mend it again. I sent it off and they had it for a month. I phoned them on 10 occassions and was told incorrect info.
Finally they sent me a new handset.
I made a complaint and I emailed it and posted it on their FB page. They emailed me back and said I needed to log a complaint, to which I explained I had. They were really arsey saying the could only accept a complaint made via the correct channels. Anyway I threatened them with Watchdog!!
I have been given £25 compensation, refunded a mnonths line rental and all call charges.
I've cancelled OH's insurance and my Pet Insurance.
My advice.... dont touch with a bargepole! Since I've been trawling the net I have found whole Blogs dedicated to how bad they are!!

omg thats horrendous. So glad you commented, I did search your past threads (not a stalker, promise) when the girls said it had been you but hadn't spotted anything so was hoping youd see this. Will definitely be avoiding. What a nightmare!

I wouldn't use them, I think they are very expensive for the service they offer. And that service is incredibly questionable.

Add them to your home insurance to cover them, much better thing to do!

Thank you, decided to insure through vodafone themselves. £20 a month isn't too much for peace of mine!
