Protein powder?

Hi ladies,

I've been keeping up with working out throughout this trimester, and I lift weights 3x/week. I can't always plan workouts around meals or find an easy grab-and-go protein option for post-workout. I've read that standard whey protein (without sweeteners/weird additives) is safe. Has anyone heard otherwise, or know of good, safe protein powders to use while pregnant? I would only be having a protein shake maybe 1-2x/week when out of other options...

As long as it isn't soy based protein powder, you should be fine. I also use whey protein after I exercise so I asked my doc about protein powders and he said whey is fine, avoid soy. :)

Thank you! That's great to know. I was wondering about the soy protein...

I'll think I'll use some organic whey once or twice a week when I'm in a pinch. :)
