There isn't much purpose to this thread--other than to brag on my five year old a bit. : )
He was diagnosed with moderate to severe hearing loss and fitted with bi-lateral hearing aids in April of this year.
He started kindergarten this August. He is a smart little dude, (can identify any piece of heavy equipment by name, brand, purpose, and parts lol) but I've been worried about how he will be able to keep up in a noisy, busy classroom.
But today he got to put his name on the "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom tree" in the hallway at school--because he tested and identified all of the upper and lower case letters. : ) He's not reading at a fifth grade level or anything lol--but it just made my heart happy to know that he's on track and doing well in class. : )
