Puddle suit/snow suit

We had a complete panic getting my son off to nursery today as it was snowing and we had no idea what to put him in. He has a thick winter jacket but not waterproof and wellies so wore those but I can't imagine it will be enough for when he wants to play out. I've looked at snow suits and puddle suits but I'm confused. What are they supposed to wear under them? He's getting a warm but light weight coat from his nan next week and it has a hood. Thanks.

my son did as well.

I just put her normal clothes on underneath it. So if she was wearing jeans and a long sleeve t-shirt i just just put the snowsuit on over those. I rarely put a jumper/cardigan on underneath it as otherwise she will get horribly hot but i take the jumper with me to put on her when i take the snow suit off.

Paige has a puddlesuit. It is very thin and shower resistant. I dont think its totally waterproof though. Its different from a snow suit as its not made to keep them warm. More to keep them dry. She had it on the other day with a vest, long sleeve tshirt and a thin hoody and leggings underneath it. Its quite handy for walking in the slush/snow/wet but i might buy her a snowsuit too

Thanks for your help. We had the Jo Jo one last year and it is fantastic. We were hoping to avoid paying that much for one tbh especially as he wouldn't wear it everyday. It is lovely though. I bought a lovely snowsuit from trespass for ds (15mo) recently. It was £24.99 which was half price in their sale, but check out eBay for similar it's lovely and warm, totally waterproof and properly weather resistant.

We have a snow suit for Joshua which we got from Primark for £12! It doesn't have feet on so I put wellies on him this morning to go to nursery.

We have an age 2-3 puddle suit with fleece inside £30 from jasper conran it looks really cosy.
