went to collect my DC'S from school today and ds2 who has undiagnosed issues had a mega meltdown because I wouldnt buy him any football cards..he proceeded to punch me in the tummy, swung his school bag into my back and all the way home he was stretched out in the back seat with the full flat of his feet on the back of my seat and basically stamping on the back of my seat:cry:

Im so upset..I phoned the mw and she assured me that the baby was probably fine..but im terrified and very upset:cry:

How hard did he punch you Hun? If you're worried just go to the hospital. It's always better to be over cautious :hugs:

it was hard..he is 8 but very strong...he was also kicking me hard in the back on the way home. Problem with my hospital is that under 20 weeks you are sent to the gynae ward and treated as a threatened miscarriage, they have a policy of not scanning between 12 and 21 weeks..so they wont scan me:cry:

omg :( i dont know what i would do without access to a scan
im sure you are okay, and just take it super easy for good measure, and im hoping and praying!

OMG honey, you poor thing. Maybe you could book an appointment with your MW, just to put your mind at rest??xx

Try not to worry if you are having no pain or bleeding. I think it would have to be a very hard blow to do any damage.

. aww u poor thing thats terrible. r u sure that they wont scan u? as i have never herd of this b4. try phone the hostpital and ask?.

no they wont scan me..its hospital policy..I have been told this on a number of occassions as Ive had bleeding due to a clot by my placenta..and they have always refused to scan me

Your midwife can check baby's heartbeat to reassure you all is well. I had a teacher once who (for reasons I can't imagine) jumped in to break up a fight between 2 boys while she was 7 or 8 months pregnant. (baby has a lot less protection by then than they do now) One of the boys kicked her in the stomach really really hard. Baby ended up being just fine. Yours is probably just fine as well. I would focus on dealing with your son for now and get your midwife to check you as soon as she can so you'll feel better.

Can you afford a private scan? It might be worth the cost for the peace of mind it would give you x

OMG. Just as important as wanting to make sure little one is ok, and perhaps even a bit more importantly, is what is the deal with your son? What kind of assurance can you get that this won't happen again? Do you think he would become violent with your baby after birth? I don't know what the specifics are of your situation but it sounds absolutely horrific as he's your son and I'm sure you love him and everything. I just couldn't imagine having to deal with that, or even imagine my son ever hitting me at all! I'm really sorry you're going through this. :(

Im sorry that happened.

Your baby is most likely fine. Unless you get bad cramping or blood I wouldnt worry too much:hugs: If you do, just pls go to the hosp asap.

I was just in the hospital (I am fine) and there was another lady in the same room as me who (stupidly) was drinking and smoking pot. She slipped on ice and fell hard right onto her stomach. She was around 30 weeks pregnant... her stomach was pretty bruised up and she was in a LOT of pain but her baby was fine. They took her for an ultrasound and everything. Did piss me off quite a bit the reason she fell though...

the issue with my son is that he possibly has autism..so no not likely to get violent with baby but goes into meltdown if his routine is disruspted.

I have started with low back pain and tummy pain, phoned labour ward, they said because im under 20 weeks I need to go to the gynae ward..phoned them, the nurse said..back and tummy pain is hardly an emergency..take some painkillers...

That nurse sounds like a b*tch excuse my language :growlmad:

I would be freakin mad if someone said that to me. Its YOUR pregnancy and YOUR baby and if you feel like you need medical help pls go get it!

been to hospital..but policy is not to scan under 20 weeks even if pain and bleeding as the opinion is that they can listen to the hb to confirm that baby is fine..so heard the hb and advised to take painkillers..thats it..
