So,I was wondering how soon after a c section can you resume normal activity? Like lifting things heavier than baby, and more specifically for me, how soon would I be able to.ride horses? Its been two weeks already I'm just super eager to get back on a horse, I miss riding! Of course I'm gonna wait til I see my doctor but I was curious as to when you ladies were resuming normal activity after your c section and if any rode horses?

Far as I was aware you need to get the all clear from your doctor at your 6 week check up in order to be cleared to get to a normal activity. Though I'd suspect that you might not get the all clear until a later time for horse riding.

At 4 weeks I'm feeling more or less back to my normal self, so I'm more active than I had been, but if I over do it I sure know about it by the evening. There also seems to be a recurring theme with women 'regressing' around 5 weeks if they do over do it, which not only have I observed on here, but was also warned by my health visitor.

Definitely wait until your check up with your dr at 6 weeks. I imagine horse riding will be longer than that...it's going to shake everything around inside you. I generally had a good recovery from my section but I was well aware that when I thought I was ok and then did a bit too much and felt it the next few days. X

First two weeks were worse but 6 weeks healing time. Saying that I had twins and was carrying both car seats (with babies in) and changing bag, and doing everything I would normally do after first week. I had to, who else would?

I guess the risk depends on on horse, if you get kicked off it may be damage, but a slow trot ( is that what is called) may be ok 4 weeks down the line. We all have difference experiences and healing times so it's difficult, we will also all push our bodies differently, I get on with stuff even if that means pushing more than i should, some people are more cautious. You should just take it as it comes and see how you feel.

I was wondering if you ladies think I will be able to ride horses for my birthday? (January 12)
My C-Section was October 9th.

I don't ride horses but I would have had a go that far away, how are you feeling now?

We all heal differently, so be careful not to push yourself too much but I would say that is enough healing time.
