question about bbt

i normally record my temp and its usually around 36.5 and drops to about 35.5 at ovulation ive not done my temp this cycle until today im now 9 or 10 dpo and have taken my temp out of interest and its 37.6 ive never seen it go up that high does anyone think theres a chance i may be in for some luck this cycle

hi,i took mine this morning as i do every morning,36.7,still up,so thats gd,then i took it after lunch just out of interest and it was 36.8,took it again just now and its 37.2 which is very high for me.hope its a gd thing.when af is due your temp will drop,but staying high is deff a gd sign,but i think you should only count the morning temp,plz correct me someone if im wrong.

Only count the morning temp. You need to take it before you get out of the bed.

The day time temp could be affected by hot weather or activity or any number of things so I try and not take it during the day as it gets confusing! But if that temp is from this morning it does look promising! good luck this month x

Hi raf-wife - I am a bbt addict! First month I ttc#1 I got lucky (not so lucky ttc#2 - 7 months and counting...) and I remember when ttc#1 that if my temp was high in the evening, it would also be high the next morning. This seems to be true for me this time round too - when I start spotting just before my period and my temp is still high in the morning, my temp would drop in the evening, so I would know the was just around the corner. 11dpo today and my temp was 37.29 just now - so hopefully this will be THE month for both of us

My experience of BBT and AF is that my temp starts to just dip slightly a day or so before AF is due then plumets when AF is here. I was getting my hopes up this month because my chart looked good, but now I think I might have to wait and say if i'm late and my temp is still high then that's a great sign.

A temp jump at 9/10dpo can be implantation (if temp was taken first thing in the morning)
Thats what mine did
