Question about bowel movements after csection

I had my son 1month and 4 days ago. Everything went great! This is my first but in the past week I've a bit of a problem when I go #2 it stings a bit and then once I go there is some bleeding from my rear. I have stopped bleeding from giving birth so I know it's from the other. I go to My OB dr on the 19th for my 6weeks appt should I ask him or make a reg dr appt? Anyone have this issue? Thanks for any responses?

I've had bowel issues as well even after my c section. Do you use a stool softener? did you have hemmorhoids during pregnancy? even with c section you can still have trouble from hemorhoids

First thank you for your response. But Nope no hemorhoids when i has my csection. While I was still in the hospital I took stool softener then when I got home I took them for a couple days then everything was fine til this past week. Now I'm bleeding a bit when I go #2.

After my section, I don't think I poo'd for 10 days! Once I did, it was mega painful! I would continue to use the stool softeners and see if it helps.

Thank you so much for both your responses. I am goin to take a stool softener and see if it helps and guess I'll talk to the dr next week when I go if the issue doesn't go away.

I would def ask him if it continues. What part of Tenn are you in? I used to live in Cordova just outside of Memphis.

hey I was able to poo on day five without any issue although I did take tons of lactulose and then afterwards i used a suppository as I had terrible haemorrhoids during pregnancy so yeah they do not go away after a c-section if you have them during pregnancy then they will take awhile to go they are just not as bad afterwards provided you do not strain or go without stool softeners and laxatives for the first two weeks as I still need suppositories after I go number two for my haemorrhoids but as far as pooing after a section is concerned its fine, it does not hurt so do not strain and push, let it flow
