We are off to a wedding today- starts at 4pm then the do afterwards so will be out all evening. Daniel likes to start cluster feeding at 3pm, having bottles at 3/5/7/9/11pm ish..(he does 11pm-8am with no bottles and then does 8am/12pm/3pm on average).
I ahve no idea how to do this regarding his bottles!
Usually if we are out I will have one pre-made cold one in the cold pocket and one bottles of water with milk in milk tub and flask of hot water. I use the flask to hear the cold one up first and then pour that back in the flask and then for the next one add the milk to water and heat that in the flask-this never goes hot though as the water is aired by then..so I need to figure out how to do 4 or 5 bottles for him when out
I was thinking of putting the milk in the TT milk things in the bottles, then making the flask up and using that water to make the bottles up as needed..but I cant sterilize the flask-so am I able to do this using the water out the flask? I have no idea lol..

You should be able to get fresh hot water at the wedding, there'll be a bar or waiters or someone you can ask.

I've used the water directly from the flask for feeds before. I made sure I gave the flask a good scrub with hot soapy water and several rinses out with boiling water first. I also didn't pour the water through the lid/spout of the flask if that makes sense? Like take the lid right off to carefully pour it in. I figure most of the germs will be in the spout bit of any flask.

Can you not just use cartons for the day?

If you are at a wedding im sure the venue would be happy to provide you with boiling water as you need it.

Joy x

Cant use cartons as hes on lactose free milk which stupidly you cant buy in cartons-the do is in a function room-it doesnt provide the food etc they have to sort that an so no kitchen d I dont even know if theres a bar or something there as I have never been before-so didnt want to turn up and find theres only the toilet tap with hot water to help me lol. Think I will go buy a new flask so I cna heat up 2 bottles using that and then have hot water in the other to heat another 2 up and heat the 3pm one up at my Mums and feed before it all starts.
I have never taken him to a loud place before so may not even be staying until that late as dont know how he will cope so it may all be a moot point lol

If you can call the venue and ask them, I woud imagine they would have a boiler. Or take a travel kettle with you (there will be plugs!) xx

I make everyone of his feeds up from a flask! I have a bottle with 3oz of cold boiled water in it, tt dispenser in the bottles with powder in, when he's ready for a feed I top up the bottle to 7oz with hot water from the flask add powder and all done! The flask doesn't need to be sterile as it doesn't come into contact with any milk powder…

I have the tommee tippee flask thing the few times i have used it the water stays boiling hot for over 6 hours! You could keep boiling water in your flask and then cool boiled water in another and mix them when making bottles?

The language differences between American English and proper British English sometimes make me chuckle. I clicked on this thread thinking it had to do with cocktails  In the US, we a "flask" is something you keep alcohol in.

We have flasks like that as well but called hip flasks :)
