question about milestones

We struggled with bf in the beginning, my milk just wouldnt come and Id get so little after pumping for agggess..so Officially when my baby was 12 days old he started getting ONLY booby juice - so i count that day (7th July) as the date to count the first mnth bf milestone right?

I wouldnt want to coincide it with his birth cos he did suckle or yell at my boobs and maybe got none out?

Im desperate for my first bf blinkie its why Im asking

Personally, I count from the birth date. Toby only suckled and didn't get anything for three days, then I switched to bottled breastmilk. Although it was after a few weeks he was 'properly' breastfed, I still count it as from birth. The way I look at it, we were trying to breastfeed, it just wasn't as easy and we had to use different methods for a while.

I was wondering about this too because Aisling only latched on for the first 3 days and then didn't again until 2.5 weeks. I pumped for her in the meantime so that's why my blinkie is pumping and bfing! As far as I'm concerned if you've been pumping and actively trying to get her to bf then it counts whether or not you were actually successful

I'd just count from birth since you were trying to BF so i think that still counts.

Unless it was months before you started, which I imagine doesnt happen often, then I'd say count from birth.

If you click on the link at the bottom of my siggie the blinkies start from 1 week milestones!
