Question about others' profiles

Just curious.....on most profiles you view, you have several tabs with "about me" etc and on the right there is the list of friends and options to request friendship. However, every once in a while I'll look at a profile and there will only be two tabs (one is statistics) and no friends or friendship options, etc.
Does this mean you're blocked? Or is there an option to block these things from everyone, not allow friends, etc? I haven't found an option to do these things, so I'm just curious. Hope I didn't tick anyone off.
I've had a single member here send me a nasty letter once because she disagreed with something I wrote, but past that, I can't think of any reason to be blocked. Ah well!

Click user cp.

then edit profile privacy.

Then set it to what ever setting you want.

More often than not it means they have their profile set to friends only which is why you cant see much.
