Question for BLW parents

Hey guys!

I'm not too sure if we're planning on doing this, but I was wondering if it's still okay for us to give finger foods to our little one once in a while? Or is that still considered BLW? Would it confuse him?

No reason not to give finger foods even if you're going down the traditional route, lots of people combine finger foods and purees

Yep, finger foods is a natural progression of the traditional weaning route, only "difference" in the respect of finger foods is that BLW cuts out the puree stage but all babies will have them eventually

I think most LOs on puree are still held off having finger foods until 6/7 months even if puree was started earlier. And BLW is advised from 6m+.
