The day after my section, when I had to get out of bed to walk, it hurt SO SO much, to the point where I was screaming. It burnt SO badly. I wish words could describe. I'm pregnant again, and wondering...is it possible that it won't be that bad next time? Thanks.

I felt like this also, my dd is 8 months old and I still get pain. Was it an emergency section? Quite a lot of people have told me that a scheduled c section isn't as bad and the recovery is much better :flower:

Ive just had my 2nd section a week ago. 1st was emergency and second was electivr gotto say both were same pain wise, first 4 days was the worst.

My first was painful, though not as bad as you have described - but recovery from my second was so quick- pain free within the week as it was elective. The experience was totally different, so no, it doesn't have to be that painful !

I've had both an emergency c section and an elective. And I experienced alot of pain during the first few days after both. It's major surgery so pain is normal :flower:

I had 3 emergency c-sections. The first I also had that extreme burning pain, like you're tearing apart inside with every move. Getting out of bed was almost impossible!

Second time was MUCH easier. I have no idea why? It was done by the same gynae, same hospital, also emergency, etc. I even dressed in normal clothes and would've gone home 1 night earlier than planned if my baby didn't end up being in NICU.

Third time was in-between the two. Again I had that burning pain, but not nearly as bad as with my first. Not as easy a recovery as the 2nd, but definitely a bit better than the first.

I'm looking at having my 4th now in a few weeks, and I'm scared out of my mind for that burning pain again. I'm hoping to have a recovery similar to my 2nd c-section.

I hope you too will have a much easier 2nd time around!! :hugs:

Just wanted to say congratulations jellybean!! xx

Thank you so much to everyone.

Lexi, how are you doing? How are things with your OH? :hugs: thinking about you. xoxo

I have had 2 first was an emergency and the 2nd elective. Make sure it is timed with just getting a dose of pain medication!! For me though this is the biggest hurdle after having a c-section that first initial movement!!

I'm not great to be honest. Each day is a living nightmare, I hate waking up in the morning and remembering he's not here. Things with the oh are ok I guess. We argue, we cry, but we're both struggling and he was made redundant not long after losing Joshua, so he's list his son, and his career xx

:hugs: Lexi. I'm so sorry. If you ever want to talk, please pm me. Thinking of you.
