hi all i have fs in a couple of days and i do smoke regretably, but in the past 7 days have only smoked 10 which is a big diff from 25 a day, im just wondering if this would affect me getting put on any medication for example clomid etc thank you

I have been off the cigs for 2 days and know how hard it is to quit but if u are going to be taking clomid it would be best to try and stop smoking.
I had 2 ectopics and lost both tubes and smoking can increase risk of that happening. Aside from that smoking can damage eggs and sperm and also a smoker takes longer to fall pregnant and has increased risk of miscarriage... all things i sadly have experience of.

Best of luck with your journey. xxx

Hi confused,

I used to smoke, and I know how hard it is to give up. It took me a couple of goes, but I got there in the end, and it's the best thing I ever did.

The statistics say it takes a smoker 50% longer to get pregnant, so that's a pretty good reason right there.

But don't forget, once you're pg you'll have to quit anyway, so you might as well do it now - then you won't have to worry about it when you get there.

Good luck honey! :flower:

Well done for cutting right down. I've gone cold turkey from 1st Jan, just cos I find it easier this way.

I'm not sure about the answer to them not giving you meds because of you smoking, but they will certainly advise you to give up.

Best of luck
x
