Question??

so i sat here readin someones birth story..
and it got me thinkin
does the doctors always ask your OH to cut the umbilical cord
or do they just do it themselves?

They will probably ask if he wants to, but he can say no.

They ask but they always have the option to refuse. I think sometimes though if there's a complication with the baby, like breathing problems, they will quickly cut them umbilical cord themselves and whisk baby away :/

they usually ask! but, I'd tell your doctor if you want it to happen before the baby is coming out, just in case

I wrote in my birthplan that he wanted to.
When they clamped it I mentioned again that I wanted him to.
They don't have to but will probably ask.

I hope they do mention it. I want my hubby to do it, but he doesn't. Lol I told him he has to. Idk why its so important to me.

My OH got to cut the cord I think after my c-section, or cut a part of it at least. I remember him going over to cut something and coming back with our boy

down here they always ask where i am before you're due. they then ask again when the baby is born in case they have changed their minds x
