This is my first time posting to any TTC forum.
My name is Nicole, I am 24 years old and my husband and I have been TTC for about 1.5 years now. I'm not quite sure what my next step is in TTC.
I got with a new OBGYN to talk about my problems getting pregnant, and during that time we learned I had a short luteal phase. I would ovulate on day 19 of a 28 day cycle.
I had my progesterone level checked 7 dpo and she said my levels were fine, I think I remember her saying it was 11? I don't have any reference on what progesterone levels should be? They also said I was iron deficient and my vitamin D was at a 16, she said that was really low so I have to start taking a prescription vitamin D for 12 weeks. I didn't talk to the doctor on the phone, it was a nurse, and honestly she wasn't very helpful. I don't think she knew about my fertility issues because I asked her if I needed to schedule a follow up and she said "for what?"
I'm probably about to call now and schedule a follow up. I'm just getting discouraged because if this has to be handed over to a specialist, I'm not prepared for those bills so we probably will end up not doing it.
I just wanted to know if anyone has any idea what could be going on with me? What are other causes of a short LP? I tried researching it but came up empty. Thank you in advance, I know this was long.
