LO is now 15 weeks. I was just hunched over my desk at work as always, when suddenly I felt like strong bubbles were popping under my belly button! I put my hands over, and couldn't feel anything externally, but I definitely felt action goin on internally.

I do have an anterior placenta though, and I heard that this my decrease the ability to feel movement. I also don't necessarily feel gassy, but have been going to the bathroom frequently the last two days.

How can I tell the difference between quickening and gas?

If it was quickening, I'm so excited!!:happydance:

I found with gas it would move along my stomach over a few seconds but the baby flutters would stay in the same place. I had a posterior placenta though so I could feel movement quite well

I have an anterior placenta too and thought mine was gas for the first three or so weeks it was happening! Ultimately though I realized that while I we definitely gassy too, this feeling was more of a thud and in the same place constantly. Even now, at 28 weeks, he's all about hitting my left side and I barely ever feel anything on the right.
