Quoting multiple users in one reply?

This may be a silly question but I was wondering how to quote multiple people in one post/reply? I tried clicking the "multi-quote" button but it doesn't do anything. I find myself just posting multiple replies so I make sure I respond to everyone. I'm sure that gets annoying for everyone else!

click the multiquote on all the posts that you want to quote up to the last one and than hit reply with quote. It will take you to the advanced reply screen and will have all the quotes there
