So there was a huge cockroach in our living room and without thinking I grabbed the Raid and started spraying. Like really soaking the wall. Our 3 month old was in his crib in another room, and immediately I felt awful for spraying Raid in the house. I opened up his window and turned the fan on in his room. There was a very faint smell in the room but it went away once I opened the window. I feel like such an awful mother. Do you think my baby is ok? He's sleeping, breathing sounds just fine.. but I feel so guilty now that I sprayed it in the house.

We all do things like that and then panic. He's fine; it sounds like you acted very quickly to make sure there was good ventilation but given he was in a different room I wouldn't imagine it would have any impact on him anyway. X

Im sure baby is just fine, if he wasnt even in the same room...you may want to try Diatomaceous Earth to keep buggies out of your house...its sold in two different types, a chemical grade and a food grade, you want the food grade one (i purchased a 20lb bag at tractor supply co for around 12 bucks)..you can use it inside and out, we used it on our kitchen counters for ants...it takes a few days, and it will drive you nuts because omg, it looks like everything is dirty (its a fine powder made of diatom shells), but bugs with shells (ants, fleas, etc) hate the stuff...the theory is that it causes the insects to lose moisture by damaging their shells, or the bits in it cut them up and they die..etc..its pet and child safe in the food grade version...i do a perimeter around my house to keep out stupid carpenter ants, the only drawback is you have to reapply it when it gets wet (i use an empty Parmesan cheese shaker bottle to apply it, gives more control)...or you could look for a spray with pyrethrin, its a derivative from chrysanthemums that works kinds the same way (there used to be a show on tv where the guy used that kinda of spray on bugs and it basically damages them and dries them out, probably quicker than the earth though!)...anyway, just suggestions, just wanted to share what has worked for us... good luck! :flower:
