My LO sporadically gets a rash on her upper thigh, always at the same side (on the inside of her right leg in the groin region) - it is maybe only the size of a 5p maximum, it isn't raised but it is really red. Sometimes, it is actually white.

It
generally clears up in a few days with metanium, we also give her nappy off time to try and air it. We use Aldi nappies as it was far worse with pampers. However I am worried as it is always the exact same area, and it looks really sore. Could it be thrush or something similar? I have googled nappy rash and this definitely looks different. I'm not worried about anything serious as she has had it many times before, but I can't get her to a doctor until Wednesday. Its not urgent enough for NHS 24 etc. Any advice?

Could I be a little patch of eczema? Both my children have it (as do I) and always grt patches in the same area when we get flare ups. Are often dry white/red patches. May also be only skin condition psoriasis which is similar and often stays white/silver through it. Can you take a picture of the area? Xxx

I don't think it is either. It isn't dry, it looks more like a blister (moist looking)

My partner has dermatitis and its nothing like dermatitis either. I did think maybe a really small patch of ringworm or something but I don't see how she could have got that.

I might try to get a picture at the next nappy change but it is quite close to her privates and obviously don't want that online!

Ring worm? Though would be odd to only show in one spot over and over.

I often see wet weepy eczema.

I did think ringworm. I have actually got a recurrent ringworm infection on my leg, it shows up every year or so (oddly enough only when I'm pregnant!) but I haven't had it for about 7 months now. It seems too irregularly shaped to be ringworm.

I didn't know you could get wet weepy eczema. I think a doctors appt is in order!

It could definitely be a fungal infection/thrush. When wliam was a baby is was just one patch and it went really raw. But then again metanium won't get rid of thrush, however it could take away the redness making it appear as though it's healing. I'm really not sure. Maybe a quick trip to gp and get them to loom

Go to doctor dear. My daughter had something similiar when she was a baby and it was a bacterial infection. They prescribed a special cream for it.
