Hi all!
I'm relatively new here & I'm not quite sure I'm posting this in the appropriate section... here it goes.
Just a little background information: I'm 21 yrs old, DH is 23. We've been trying to conceive our first child for the past 7 months. We're both in good health - exercise regularly, eat right, take vitamins, etc. My cycles are about 27 days long with 5 days of heavy, extremely painful bleeding/cramping. I get nasty pms symptoms - I get very irritable, I bloat and my cramps are the tip off that AF is coming any second, in full force.
However, this month has been very unusual. We dtd right around my o time & for several days prior and after. We were really hoping on this month. About 7dpo - I begin having unusual fits of complete exhaustion- to the point where I couldn't keep my eyes open & i'd take a 2 hour nap....in the middle of the day! not TYPICAL of me whatsoever. I had slight nausea... typically in the afternoons and little tummy twinges that I couldn't really relate to AF - like cramps, I also was very "wet" down there,I'm normally not leading up to AF. I also had NO typically PMS symptoms... my cycles are very predictable - to the hour - so I began getting somewhat concerned. Well, I was due to get AF on the 21, and I did in fact start "something"... I had no cramps, no nothing, just when I wiped that morning I had very stretchy cm with a little tiny red dot in it. Weird. Then I began to bleed ever so slightly aobut 2 hours later... nothing like my usual period, I wore a pantyliner all day,the blood was dark red/brown and sometimes bright. The second day it was about the same, no tampon use really... and the 3rd day I had light pink spotting only when I wiped and then nothing. No cramping with this "period", nada. I took an HPT on the 2nd day of 'bleeding'; it was negative. So i'm very confused... could I be pregnant? What would cause a cycle to be like this? It's SO unusual for me?
p.s sorry for typing a book :winkwink:

I had a lot of the same things going on my Feb cycle, and I just went in and got a blood test since my DH insisted on it (He's a Phleb aka professional vampire so Blood tells all with him). It was a BFN all around so in my case it was just an odd AF. That being said if you keep getting BFN's on the HPTs and still think you are or might be BFP maybe a quick trip in wouldn't hurt.

:hugs: GL to you Sweetie
