Hi ladies,

I'm looking for a toilet seat for LO but there seems so many out there, I don't know which one to pick?!

Also, we are going on holiday in a couple of weeks and I'm not sure whether to take our regular potty/ buy a travel potty or get one of those travel toilet seats... or a combination?!

Any experiences/ recommendations would be hugely appreciated! :flower:

We've been given a potette plus - you can use it as a travel potty and a toilet seat. It seems pretty good. We haven't used it yet, but it's worth googling - there are lots of good reviews :)

For travelling purposes i would always choose to use a childs toilet seat. Easy to clean, the wees and poohs go in the toilet so (fingers crossed) no mess to empty! Plus, they're quite cheap and easier to take around with you than a potty. Unless you get caught short, but then i would just put the toilet seat over a plastic bag or something.

ooooh yes! we just brought an awesome "all in one" toilet seat from amazon/splashdirect.com
its an adult seat and also has a toddler seat in it too so you can just lift the toddler bit out of the way.
its fab!!!!

or type in to amazon "all in one" toilet seat! :D

for holiday id use a travel one as you can use it on the beach, restaurants etc etc

We have a My Carry Potty for going out and about which is really good for travelling around particularly on holiday when we were at the beach and we were far from toilets or they were not the nicest ones! You can either tip away straight away or close it and the vacuum shuts and keeps it in. We really like it and its reasonably easy to carry (its light and fits in a bag but I am not the one who carries it!). The only thing to remember is that the vacuum can be quite strong (good for keeping it in) and if you go on a plane and shut it it needs some force to open (my OH does it with a coat hanger!)

We have a potette and it's great, I take it everywhere. If we can we use a toilet and use this as the seat, but if we're too far from toilet you just use it as a potty with a bag. It's been a godsend! I thought about the carry potty, but then if you're on a long day out and it's used once, how do you clean it out for the next use? For me the idea of a bag that you can just discard later seemed more practical.

PS - re toilet seats. I bought one from tesco and it's rubbish, little one can get is fingers trapped between the seat and the toilet (and has done) as it doesn't fit well.

I then went to Wilkinson's and found a great alternative, it goes under the traditional toilet seat so no risk of trapped fingers and it cost about £1.50

I got a toilet seat from mothercare with the adult seat and a toddler seat that pulls down when needed... Used it with both girls and its still in use as i never changed it so when lo is old enough he Will be using it too so well worth the money...
