A pair of decent school shoes !!

DD1 is starting reception in September . She really wants those Lelli Kelly shoes ( the ones you can change the strap) I don't like the price tag .

She's very hard on her shoes . Are these worth the money ?

Recommend me some shoes please ladies !! Thanking you all !

I have two girls in school so had tried and tested a lot of shoes. Clarks I don't find are worth the money. I find they wear quickly and so not worth the price. Marks and Spencer's I really rate. My daughter is very clumsy and yet they didn't scuff. Debenhams scuffed terribly within a few weeks of term starting. I also really rate George at Asda for school shoes. I find for the price they pay they wear pretty well.

My dd1 has had lelli kelly school shoes both previous years, and a pair of lelli kelly boots for last winter. They are expensive but they are amazing quality. I wouldn't hesitste to buy again.
This year she didn't want lelli kellys and wanted a pair from Next and just looking and feeling them, I can tell they are nowhere near the quality of the lelli kellys.
She has the gym shoes this year, £20!? but again, they feel great and not flimsy like others

My daughter wants Lelli Kelli's too!

I wasn't sure about them as they don't seem to have much coverage at the toe for scuffs iykwim? We've had Clarks the past few years and they actually wear quite well for my daughter but I just hate the selection, they have the same styles every year! So I don't know what I'm getting her.

My 2 have Hush Puppies, I found they lasted longer than Clarks!

Thanks ladies !!

We are going shoe shopping later this week armed with all your suggestions to try ! Shes still going on about Lelli Kelly so I'm glad you would recommend them Mrsmurphy !

She actually had a pair of pumps from ASDA which lasted her all through the last term and are in good condition now still

I personally LOVE B52's. If you are not worried about the style of shoe, Rugged Shark are worth the money you spend as they come with a lifetime warranty (if they are still made) on the shoe.

I got my DD M&S shoes for her first year at school and they lasted really well, they scuffed a little but polished up really well.
This year, after trying almost every school shoe available in the country, she has opted for a pair of the toe zone ones from sainsburys, so we will see how they last.

PS 25% off sainsburys shoes and clothes until midnight on Monday 21st!
