Reduced bleeding,tampon question

Had C last Mon,came home Thurs.

Since Sat, i haven't even bled anything enough to collect on a pad.
I still get bright red blood after goin pee. I was told at the hosp that it will pool in the vagina and come out when i stand up or pee, so i'm fine cause it is.

Last C, it stopped completely at 2 1/2 wks. Anyone stopped bleeding sooner?
Or stopped than came back after days?

I'm not bleeding clots, so would it be ok to use tampons? Would it still be painful inserting them? The pads are just so uncomfortable and dont stay in place anyways.

Didn't even think of asking these kinda questions at he hospital , didnt think i'd bleed this little.

after my emcs i only bled for about 4 days only 2 days when it was heavy barely anything last couple of days at the time midwife just said everyone was different and that breastfeeding sometimes made people bleed for less time i dont think its recommended to use tampons though

Ehh, i figure i'd stick it out with just pads, heck, i don't even use em during the day.

And i'm actually not breastfeeding. hmmph,

i wouldn't use tampons, only because the uterus is still healing and you don't want to risk any kind of infection.

maybe you could use panty liners? that's what i started using because i hate pads and wasn't bleeding enough to use them anyway

No tampons till ur first auntflow - as your cervix could still be open, and uterus healing a tampon will place u at a higher risk for infection.

Hello,
I had a csection and hate pads.. I mean really hate them. I had clots only the first day in the hospital, so when I came home on day 4 I started using tampons. I had no problems at all. The only reason they tell you not to is the "risk" of infection, but in reality there is very little risk. ( more so if you had not had a csection) I had no problems and when I told my doctor she was okay with it. Just do what feels comfortable to you. I changed mine every 4 hours just to make sure everything stayed as clean as possible.

Been 2 days since i bled at all, and only spotting few days before that. Forget pads or tampons, lol!

I barely bled at all after my c section. I kept waiting for it to happen but just had spotting. I had a full period at 6 weeks post and then every month after but nothing like they warned me of. Hoping the same happens at my next one!

Glad yours is already clearing up!

i was surprised i didn't bleed so much too! i made the mistake of mentioning that to a nurse in the hospital and she told me how during a section they put your uterus on the operating table and clean it out and that's why you don't bleed as much i could have gone my whole life without knowing that.

Felt like i was there the longest! Lol! I still pop in occasionally i'm all over though! Csect,baby club and toddler too!

And had another spurt today :/ darn!! Was quite a bit, but didn't last.

Omg. I know! It's awful!! My husband told me that after six months. He said he looked up and they were holding my uterus like a grapefruit! So disturbing.

I assume we shouldn't put anything in there fr 6 weeks, like we shouldn't even bath, to reduce the chance of infection. I wouldn't use tampons until my first proper period.

I had pains from them removing the uterus and giving I its hose down or whatever they did...Urgh. I still bled for 3 weeks though..

it's annoying..just wish it'd stop already!!!

it leaks a day, then stops for 2-3 days, then comes back a bit, now it stopped again!
