the doctor met with me to go over the SA this is what she said:

SA-looked great (even tho I was worried about the volume being subnormal)

next she wants me to take Femara 2.5 mg d 3-7 happy because I didnt like Clomid, the hot flashes were bs.

sex day 9-16 every other
day 11 or 12 ultrasound of ovaries ********

day 21 bloods

I just have a question about the ultrasound of the ovaries, what does this show??

The ultrasound will show if you have any follicles (eggs) growing from the Femara. =)

An ultrasound of the ovaries is done vaginally. (the wand is smaller than a speculum, it doesn't hurt) It will show the ovaries and they can tell how many follicles are growing (which release the eggs). The doc was able to tell me which side I would ovulate from and that I had not ovulated that month yet (it was CD14). If you are taking medication to increase ovulation they will use the u/s to see if you are stimulating too many follicles.

The u/s will also show the uterus too so they can see potential anomalies.
