Phoebe has recently been testing my patience to put it nicely & Im thinking a reward chart may help her.
She will four on New Years Eve & I think its time she can be doing a lot more for herself. She wont dress herself though she is more than capable, she wont tidy up, she wont have her hair brushed and she has the attitude of a 14 year old.
The naughty step isn't working as well as it was, she is very stubborn and will stay there all afternoon rather than pick up her toys.
Im hoping to get a new routine in place for her and Jacob next week and was thinking of adding the reward chart to the routine. Im going to get myself more organised too so there is no room for error.

Has a reward chart worked for any of you? Or do you have any other suggestions?

Cheers

Maybe something more positive would help instead of punishing?

maybe easier in the long run to fix it now rather than manipulate and punish all causing more anger.

we use reward charts all the time and i personally think they work very well. i make my own and buy stickers in the supermarket. our latest one was a flower (of sorts i cant draw) and when we had filled the petals we brought her a small toy. i would concentrate on one thing at a time though a reward for various things might get confusing.
